While strolling the public library, a blue and silver book called Steelheartcaught my eye. I walked closer to it and read the name: Steelheart. I read the back and was really interested. After checking the book out, I read it within two days.

Steelheart begins with a boy named David Charleston. David introduces the reader to the dangers of his world. It is a place where many people around the world gain magical powers. The more they use their powers, the more arrogant and tyrant-like they become. They are called Epics. One such Epic, Steelheart, rules David's hometown. He killed David's father and ruined David's life.

Steelheart was supposed to be invincible (bullets, explosions, bombs, and blades don't hurt him). But David has seen him bleed, and he intends to kill Steelheart. After joining with a secret group of rebels, he planned to attack Steelheart. But they first needed to find Steelheart's weakness. Then they needed to actually beat him. Will they succeed, or will they fall flat like those who challenged Steelheart in the past?

Steelheart was an ideal book for me since it was action packed and thrilling. People who prefer dystopian, adventure books will like to read this. Brandon Sanderson, the author, develops the characters and setting perfectly. I read this book with no confusion about what he was talking about.

One of this book's flaws is that it had too much action. Overtime the book became tiring and boring. The book also uses interesting slang that makes the beginning hard to understand. Despite these flaws, the book is very good and I will definitely read the rest of the series.
