In September 2017, Hilary Clinton released her newest book. The book, What Happened,is a personal memoir that focuses on events through Hilary's life and the 2016 election. Her narrative is straightforward, and honest. She writes about her mistakes, dictates her assessments of Republicans and Russian interference, and brings light to the experiences of women in politics.

Although the book was constructive as a whole, I focused on the chapter about women in politics. Clinton talked about her experiences as a woman on the higher rungs of the political ladder. She was harassed and treated unfairly. She was criticized on things like hair, surname, and voice- unlike her male opposition. Clinton wrote openly about the "balancing act" that she, and other women are put on in public. If she was too controlled, people called her cold and inhuman, but when she spoke impulsively, people called her unqualified. Finally, she wrote that being a woman is rewarding. People opened up to her more than they would've if she were a man.

Besides from women in politics, some other topics in this book are, important events on the campaign, election night, after the election, and her dreams for America in the future. The book also has empowering quotes at the beginning of each chapter. It is an inspirational book in total, and everyone would benefit from reading this book.
