James Dashner, the author of the Maze Runner series released his last book. I read it as soon as it came out. Overall, I feel that it is very intense and emotional. If you haven't read the first four books, I recommend that you come back after you finish them. I have woven some spoilers of the previous books in this blog.

As you may already know, Thomas was taken from his mother, by WICKED, at a very young age. He was educated and then forced to make the maze. Fever Code is about how Thomas grew up, the hardships he faced, and the ugly truth about WICKED. There is lots of action and plot twists. We also experience more of our loved characters: Newt, Alby, Gally, Aris, Ben, Teresa, Minho and adorable little Chuck.

Although the book isn't as thrilling as the past four, it is still very intense. There are less life-and-death situations, but there are more emotional conflicts. I found the book hard to put down from the first sentence. I felt that I was being crushed by Thomas' pressure. The book plays with the reader's trust and has millions of plot twists. The book was also heartbreaking. It tells the backstories of the characters

One of the things that I didn't like about the book was that it was inconsistent with facts from other books. In The Kill Orderand The Death CureJames Dasher reveals a little bit about Thomas's past. In The Fever Code those scenes are altered. I got confused multiple times.

I loved this book! I hope you enjoy it too. Please comment! I appreciate your feedback!
